Description
The Xerxes for Jetson Nano is a high-performance carrier board engineered specifically for the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano, targeting edge-compute, networking, and AI-accelerated applications that demand high bandwidth in a compact footprint. The board is designed to expose the Orin Nano’s native high-speed interfaces while maintaining signal integrity and thermal efficiency suitable for continuous, production-grade operation.
A key feature of the Xerxes Nano is its integrated M.2 connector for NVMe storage, strategically tucked beneath the compute module connector to minimise board area without compromising performance. This layout enables low-latency, high-throughput PCIe storage while preserving a clean mechanical envelope for dense system designs. Careful routing and power delivery ensure stable NVMe operation under sustained workloads typical of AI inference, data logging, and edge analytics.
For high-speed networking, the board includes an SFP+ cage, enabling direct integration of optical or copper transceivers for fiber or 10-gigabit-class networking use cases, depending on system configuration. This makes the Xerxes Nano well suited for edge gateways, distributed AI nodes, and network-attached accelerators where low-latency data ingress and egress are critical.
The Xerxes Nano also provides USB On-The-Go (OTG) support, allowing the Jetson Orin Nano to operate in both host and device modes. This facilitates flexible workflows such as flashing, debugging, device emulation, and peripheral expansion during development and deployment. Together, these features position the Xerxes Nano as a compact yet capable carrier board that combines NVMe storage, high-speed networking, and flexible USB connectivity into a single, tightly integrated platform optimized for NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano based systems.
